This 10 year old female needed "phase 1" orthodontic treatment to create room for her front teeth to erupt. She wore upper braces only for about a year. It was not necessary to put lower braces on her teeth at this young age because she will need braces again in the future and lower arch treatment can be postponed. Phase 1 braces are used to fix a specific problem and the appliance can often be limited in scope. She will be monitored periodically until all of her permanent teeth have erupted.
