This 14 year old female presented dental crowding due to large teeth, delicate facial features and slightly small lower jaw, relative to her overall facial proportion. To acheive a smile that is proportional to her overall face, her orthodontic treatment required the extraction of four permanent teeth. She wore braces for about two years. Her dental arches were widened nicely relative to the width of her face, her teeth were aligned and her bite was corrected. This case is a good example of how orthodontics can truly help an individual acheive improved facial esthetics and long term dental health.
