This 12 year old female patient presented with a deep overbite and increased spacing of her front teeth.  She wore braces for about two years and loves her new smile.  When correcting an overbite, it is important to correct the bite to maximize the beauty of the smile.  In this case, the upper teeth were moved up (intruded apically) to balance the position of the teeth relative to her lips when she smiles.
